My vacation... December 2008 (Part 1)

I almost forgot that our flight was on the 9th, which I thought at first was on the 10th Dec... Luckily my brother reminded me during the Doa Selamat that we had for our raya gathering on the 8th. So, I quickly load my things into the luggage which I've just bought during my workshop in Bandar (only 3 days earlier) and get ready..
Airport Closed..!! We arrived at the airport using our transport arranged by my brother, at around 7.00 p.m. We checked in our luggages and got our boarding passes. Then, we board the plane and waited for at least 30 minutes.. we didn't know why.. but then there's the announcement from the Pilot, saying that the airport was closed due to the royal visit.. So, after about another 15 minutes, our plane departed Brunei International Airport and arrived Dubai International Airport at around 02.30 a.m. (if I'm not mistaken..hehe.. I just woke up during that time). We had to wait till around 08.00 a.m. before we could board the emirates flight to Muscat.. While at the airport, we (7 of us) just walk around the duty free shops in the airport and rest. Since we were going to board the Emirates flight, then we had to move to Terminal 3 which was quite new.. i.e. some parts of that terminal are still under construction. The last 6 months that I went there, I've never used this new terminal.. wow.. that's quite fast, I mean the development in Dubai.
Muscat...
We landed safely at Muscat airport at around 9.45 a.m. The weather was much cooler than when I visited last time. It's the winter season, that's why it was a wise decision to visit there (not too hot like in summer).

We visited to lots of places in Muscat, including the grand mosque..

Shadow...:)
Lovely gardens at the mosque.. Love the flowers, don't know what are the names of the flowers. We did some shopping... at the shopping malls and also the Mutrah Souk.. where I bought lots of scarves, henna and shawls.. Near the sea..quite windy..

Visited the old palace..

Food.... as usual...
to be continued...
